For all the cricket fans all over the world this is the year of celebration because exactly after 100 days the biggest cricket tournament ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will get start in the soil of England where 10 teams will feature to gran the title.

In that context from today we start the countdown this biggest tournament of cricket with some exciting articles which are in line. 

Players who are Trump Cards for their team

So in our first articles let's look at the players who are trump cards for their respective teams:

1) Rashid Khan (Afghanistan)

• So first we have the young but so talented Rashid Khan in the line.
• He is the fastest to take 100 Wickets in the ODIs in terms of matches. It took 44 matches for him to get these milestone.
• Although the team is inexperienced but having bunch of young talented players.
• Rashid Khan has taken total 118 Wickets in the 52 ODIs.

2) Smith - Warner (Australia)

• Ohhhh they both are away from the international arena from past one year and so their team is suffering a lot and there are also a doubt regarding their selection in the team but anyone could not deny the fact that the return of both experienced players back to the team will give a much needed boost to the defending champions.

• In 214 International ODIs they have added 7774 runs for their team and addition of them in the team will surely give the right balance to the Kangaroos.

3) Virat Kohli (India)

• And here we have the master, the champion Virat Kohli who is eying to grab the first World Cup title under his captaincy belt.

• Virat is dominating the batting area and has scored 10533 International ODI runs .

4) Kuldeep Yadav (India)

• And here we have the wrist spinner, after the inability to get the wickets in the middle overs the Indian side switched to the wrist spinners and what a great effort they have put to the side.

• This wrist spinner of the age 24 years taken 45 wickets in the last year in ODIs.

5) Jos Buttler (England)

• This exciting 28 years old Wicket-keeper batsman from the No. 01 ODI side in the world has scored 3176 runs in his 122 outings with the strike-rate of 117.

6) Lockie Ferguson

• This is the bowler who is bowling with the speed of 150 km/hour and just smoking heat in the ground.

• He has taken 46 wickets in his 26 international outing will be the key for his team.

India go 1-0 up despite Australia's hard fight

India spoke boisterously about the need to start the series well. They'd succumbed to expectations in South Africa and England earlier in the year and a setback in Adelaide would have severely affected their quest to claim a maiden Test series in Australia. To their credit, they overcame a poor start and clinched a memorable 31-run victory. In the process, they also created and broke a few records...

Stats highlights from the historic Test...

The first instance of India winning the opening Test of a series in Australia.  

This is the sixth instance of India winning the Test series opener in 'SENA' countries.

31 Winning margin for India - the closest win for them in an away Test (by runs) and the third closest overall. 

3 Overseas wins for India in 2018 - the joint-most for them in a calendar year. They won three in New Zealand in 1968 when they won their first overseas tour 3-1. Virat Kohli became the first Asian captain to win Tests in England, South Africa and Australia.

20 Tests in which Kohli won the toss - he went on to win 17 of those with the other three ending in draws. 

35 Batsmen were dismissed to catches in Adelaide - the most ever in a Test. 

11 Dismissals by Rishabh Pant in the first - six catches in the first innings followed by five more in the second. It is the joint-most by a wicketkeeper in a Test, equaling the Test record held by Jack Russell, against South Africa in 1995, and AB de Villiers, against Pakistan in 2013, both efforts coming at the Wanderers.

3 match T20 series VS England in india from 26 Jauary to 01 February 2017

Result : India won the series by 2-1

India defeated England in the third T20I match played at Bangalore by 75 runs and won the three-match T20I series 2-1. India faced a daunting task to clinch the series after losing the first match of the series at Kanpur, but the way in which Indian bowlers performed in the next two matches, showed that Indian bowling unit is in the right frame of mind ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. 

For England, this T20I series was about proving the point that they can compete in any conditions. They fought hard but it was India which won many crucial moments in the series with the help of some brilliant individual performances.

Unlike the Test and ODIs, this series was not just about Virat Kohli as India won the series thanks to a complete team effort. Lokesh Rahul found his rhythm while Suresh Raina also played two decent knocks in the series. The rise of Yuzvendra Chahal was a welcome one for India along with the ever-improving Amit Mishra. Ashish Nehra and Yuvraj Singh proving that old is gold. Meanwhile Mahendra Singh Dhoni silently sent a message that why he is still the go-to man for India at any batting position.

 

This was the first time that India won a T20I series against England. Yuzvendra Chahal won the Man of the Series award for his outstanding bowling performance. 

 

 Here are a few statistical landmarks and milestone achieved during the series:

 

Kohli became the third captain to lead India at least once in all three formats of the game. Virender Sehwag and Dhoni are the other captains who have done the same. However, Kohli became the fifth captain to lead India in T20Is.

 

India scored only 147 runs in the first T20I match and that provided only the fourth occasion in T20Is when Dhoni was the top-scorer for the hosts. He made 36* runs in the first T20I played at Kanpur. India lost that match by seven wickets and this was their sixth loss against England in T20Is which is the most for India against any team in the format.

It was important for India to win the second T20I match to stay alive in the series and the win was achieved by 5 runs despite posting less than 150 runs in the first innings. This was only the third time that India successfully defended their total after scoring less than 150 runs in T20Is.

 

India lost nine T20Is after posting less than 150 runs while one match ended in a tie against Pakistan in World T20 2007. However, the Dhoni-led side won that match in the bowl out.

 

Rahul scored 71 runs in the second T20I match and it is now the fourth highest score by an Indian opener in T20Is. The highest score by an Indian opener in the shortest format is 106 which was scored by Rohit Sharma against South Africa at Dharamsala in 2015. Rahul’s 71 is also the highest by an Indian player against England in T20Is. The previous highest was 68 by Sehwag at Durban in 2007.

 

Nehra played an important role in India’s win over England in the second match. He picked up three wickets and became the second oldest pacer to pick up a three wicket-haul in a T20I match. Trent Johnston is the oldest pacer to take a three-wicket haul in the format.

 

Rishabh Pant made his T20I debut for India in the third game becoming the youngest player (19 years, 120 days) to do so. The previous youngest player was Ishant Sharma who made his debut when he was 19 years and 152 days old against Australia in 2008.

 

Raina became the second Indian batsman to hit 250 sixes in Twenty20 cricket after hitting five sixes in the third T20I. He is overall the ninth player to achieve the landmark. Among Indians, Rohit Sharma has hit most sixes (254) in Twenty20 cricket.

In the final match of the series at Bangalore, Dhoni scored a fifty after 65 T20I innings. He took 66 innings to do so which is the most by any player in the shortest format. His previous highest score was 48 not out which he scored against Australia in Sydney in 2012.

 

Mishra became the second Indian bowler to take 200 wickets in T20 cricket in the second match. In the third T20I, by picking up a wicket of Jason Roy, he now holds the record of picking up most wickets in T20 cricket among Indians.

Chahal became the first Indian player to take a five-wicket haul in T20Is. His figures of 6/25 in the third T20Is is now the third best figures in Twenty20 internationals for any bowler.

 

England lost their last eight wickets by adding only eight runs in 19 balls which is the worst ever eight-wicket collapse in T20 internationals. This is also the second worst eight-wicket collapse in international cricket.

 
In England’s innings in the third T20I, five batmen scored duck which is now the joint second-most figure in an innings of a T20I match. This is also the most ducks by a team against India in a T20I match.India won the third T20I match by 75 runs which is now India’s second largest win in T20Is in-terms of runs. The highest one is by 90 runs also against England at Colombo.

Kuldeep’s Hat-trick gave India to defend 252 and 2-0 lead

In what was a thrilling game at the Eden Gardens, India managed to defend a target of 253 to record their second consecutive victory against Australia. Earlier in the day, it was skipper Virat Kohli who won the toss as India elected to bat first. While India made no changes in the playing XI from the last game, Australia made two changes. James Faulkner made way for Kane Richardson while Ashton Agar replaced Adam Zampa.

India didn’t have a great start as Rohit Sharma was back to the pavilion owing to a soft dismissal. Captain Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane then combined for a splendid 102-run partnership for the second wicket. While Rahane was unfortunately run out, Kohli stayed on for a while before he was eventually dismissed for 92. MS Dhoni who has been in tremendous form lately failed to make a difference as India were reduced to 204/6. At the end, Hardik Pandya tried to steer India close to 250 but ended up getting out. However, Bumrah’s twin boundaries made sure India had 252 runs on the board.

Coulter-Nile was the pick amongst the Aussie bowlers with three wickets. Kane Richardson also got three wickets which included the crucial wickets of Dhoni and Pandya. Pat Cummins was quite economical as he had bowling figures of 1/34 in his quota of 10 overs. Ashton Agar also managed to get a wicket.

Australia who were chasing a target of 253 runs were welcomed to some solid spell of swing bowling by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah. Both seemed unplayable as Hilton Cartwright and David Warner fell prey to Bhuvneshwar leaving Australia reeling at 9/2.

That’s when skipper Steve Smith and Travis Head rescued the Aussies from a poor start. As Head got out, in came Glenn Maxwell. Like the last game, he again decided to go after Kuldeep Yadav as he smashed him for consecutive sixes. However, Chahal bowled cleverly as he got the better of Maxwell again like the last game. More action was to follow as Kuldeep Yadav took a splendid hattrick dismissing Mathew Wade, Ashton Agar and Pat Cummins.

Marcus Stoinis fought a lone battle scoring a fifty to keep tiny hopes alive for Australia. However, the visitors ran out of wickets and ended up 50 runs short of the target. Indian bowlers were stupendous with Bhuvneshwar leading the pack getting 3/9 in 6.1 overs. Kuldeep bagged a hat-trick while Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal got a couple of wickets each.

Further. this is the Third ODI hat-trick for India after Chetan Sharma's feat against New Zealand in 1987, and Kapil Dev's achievement against Sri Lanks in 1991.
